Final Conference in Berlin, , 11/12th October 2007 “Parking Space Management – Quo vadis? European and German experiences in practice”

The 9th and final conference of the project was organized in cooperation with the German Association of town, regional and state planning, SRL.
More than 120 experts from all over Europe attended at the conference in the twon hall of Berlin, the “Rotes Rathaus”.
We would like to thank all referents and moderators for their interesting contributions. In particular thanks to the organisational committee, the technical staff and the translators for their excellent job.

Conference in Smolyan, Bulgaria, 11th June 2007 “City Parking in Bulgaria”

The 8th conference of the project was organized by the municipality of Smolyan. Experiences and new methods for solving the parking problem in the region and in Sofia were presented and discussed. Furthermore two lectures on planning and implementation were given, showing the procedures how to come from the municipal parking strategy to the parking lot and explaining ways towards an integrated approach of parking.

Working Group Meeting in Athens, Greece, 14th to 15th of Mai

The next Working Group Meeting wil take place middle of May in Athens. Athens will present first results of their pilot project in parts of the inner city, where the first parking management area is installed since a few months.


Conference and Working Group Meeting in Bari, Italy, 18th to 20th of April

The senventh partner conference in Bari took place at Universus Csei, where the municipality with representatives of the mobility department, architects and engineers of recent parking project and experts from the polytechnic of Bari presented perspectives and the state of the art of the parking system in Bari. An interesting study tour completed the interesting event and shows the progress taking place.

Open Workshop in Munich on parking space solutions for residents, 28th to 29th March 2007

The Working Group Meeting of the project took place with more than 40 participants and was a great success. The open workshop, organized by one of the initiators of the project had an extensive programm, comprising one day expert contributions and an interesting study tour on the second day.

Conference in Antwerp, 5th – 6th December 2006

The international conference “parking space supply and parking space management” as part of the INTERREG IIIC project “City Parking in Europe” in Antwerp on 5th December hosted and organised by the Autonomous Parking Authority Antwerp and the University of Gent brought together 140 experts from the field of parking, mobility and architecture (planners, architects, engineers and decision makers). The conference was accompanied by a small fair bringing together companies presenting innovative solutions for payment and enforcement, new technologies for parking facilities as well as parking space operators and public transport companies.
